Development of the medium-sized business in Ukraine - the future foundation of the economy
In the studio is Petr Stransky, business leader and Strategic advisor / stranskypetr . In the framework of an interview recorded on «Kyivstratpro» platform, Petr gave his classification of projects concerning business development in Ukraine, classifying them into three groups. The «dream projects» are those that remain on paper and which are very difficult to implement quickly in the current conditions. These projects are usually global in nature. «Small projects» which aim to support small businesses. This type of economic activity is largely local-centred, financed by local banks, and usually depends on the entrepreneurial spirit of a small group of people. «Medium-sized projects» is the most interesting segment for many potential foreign partners and investors, as it is often already stable, a successful business with a specific niche and ideas, as well as the potential for further growth. It is in this situation, in the current circumstances, that a potential foreign investor or partner is needed to help sustain further growth.
The Ukraine-Taiwan Nexus
In our recent conversation with Dean Karalekas, we delved into China's multifaceted global strategy, starting with its significant activities in Africa under the Belt and Road Initiative. This ambitious infrastructure project exemplifies Beijing's attempt to expand its influence worldwide. We also discussed China's diplomatic maneuvers in the Middle East and Ukraine, highlighting its role as a potential peacemaker. As America's global influence wanes, China views this as an opportunity to assert its dominance. This shift in power dynamics has profound implications for Taiwan, which China aims to reunify, even by force if necessary. This ambition traces back to the unfinished Chinese Civil War and is framed within the concept of the mandate of heaven. We emphasized the importance of fostering people-to-people connections between Taiwan and Ukraine, considering Ukraine's recent experiences with modern warfare. Taiwan can draw valuable lessons from Ukraine's resilience and strategies in the face of external threats.
